Game On: Coding & Robotics Club - Grades 5-7

Calling all future creators and inventors! In this exciting hands-on program, middle school students will explore coding, video game design, and robotics through fun challenges and creative projects. Participants will learn basic programming skills, build interactive games, and experiment with robots while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation skills in a supportive and engaging environment.


The student is required to bring a laptop to class.

Shaurya “Rick” Dey is a rising 7th grader with a strong passion for game development, robotics, and hands‑on STEM learning. He has represented Groton in the FIRST LEGO League for several years, earning awards and recognition at regional championships. Rick also enjoys 3D printing, designing small engineering projects, and exploring new technologies. Outside of robotics, he plays club soccer and brings teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm to everything he does. As a supporting instructor, Rick loves helping younger students learn coding and robotics in a fun, relatable way while sharing his own experiences as a competitive robotics student.
