The instructor will prepare cards featuring a pre-designed pattern, and participants will add their own personal touch by coloring and decorating them. Whether creating cards for a special occasion or simply to brighten someone’s day, this program offers a wonderful opportunity to socialize, share creativity, and make meaningful keepsakes for friends. In this two-session workshop, you will learn how to make a simple, custom, gathered skirt using your own sewing machine. We’ll start by measuring, drafting, and cutting a basic skirt pattern, then move on to assembling and sewing the garment step-by-step. You’ll practice essential machine-sewing skills such as accurate cutting, seam construction, waistband techniques, and finishing seams. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a handmade skirt and the knowledge to recreate the pattern again at home. You should come already knowing how to use your sewing machine.
