Starting SoonBeginner Ballet for Strength, Flexibility, Posture, & GraceDanceThis class is designed for beginners with no prior ballet experience, introducing the student to the fundamentals of ballet technique. The class will be structured in a traditional format, beginning with barre work, followed by center work, and concluding with a stretching session. The emphasis will be on learning a ballet class structure, achieving correct body alignment, utilizing efficient body mechanics, developing good musicality, and exploring qualities and dynamics to progress toward a comprehensive understanding of ballet technique and expressiveness. Students will be guided to work safely and intelligently in pursuit of their physical potential. Students are required to bring a yoga mat (for stretching) and ballet shoes. This cardio session is a fusion of various dance styles including classical Indian dances such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak, as well as elements of folk dances like Bhangra/Garba, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance.
