This Fall enrichment course is centered on Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), the world’s most popular tabletop role-playing game and a member of the National Toy Hall of Fame. D&D is a collaborative storytelling game set in a fantasy world where players face challenging puzzles, mysteries, and dangerous monsters - all while creating an original, unfolding heroic tale! Players develop original characters who learn and grow from their choices, becoming heroes by overcoming challenges together. This program uses D&D as an educational tool to develop critical thinking, creative writing, teamwork, leadership, mathematical skills, and social-emotional learning in a structured, inclusive classroom environment. This class is perfect for little ones who enjoy moving! We will focus on balance, coordination, and creative movement through gymnastics, dance, and interactive play. It's a relaxed, inclusive class where littles can gain confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy themselves! Emma has been teaching movement to kids and adults for over a decade. Before that, she was a classroom teacher for grades K-3 and holds a master's degree in education. LEGO® Lab is a fun, hands- on program where children use LEGO® bricks to build structures, play games and solve simple engineering challenges in a safe, structured environment. Little scientists, big discoveries! Through hands-on guided play labs, children will explore early STEAM concepts such as sink and float, balance, opposites, motion, and more. Each session blends science experiments with art projects to encourage curiosity, observation, problem-solving, and experimentation. Children will build social skills and verbal confidence as they work together on projects. It is the perfect “mess is okay” space for curious little hands to think like scientists, create like artists, and make new local friends. Embrace your holiday spirit with a cozy macramé workshop, perfect for crafting beautiful handmade ornaments for your home or as heartfelt gifts. In this beginner-friendly class, participants will learn basic macramé techniques while making two holiday ornaments: an Angel and a Candy Cane. No prior experience is needed—just come ready to relax, create, and enjoy a fun seasonal craft experience. All materials will be provided.

Through this course, young artists in grades 6-8 will learn ways to express themselves through the transformative power of the visual arts. We will explore abstraction and visual representation of the self. This class provides a supportive space for middle schoolers to express their individuality, build artistic skills, and thoughtfully explore who they are through art. All materials are provided.

Mini Volley is volleyball built for little humans. We focus on kids ages 6-12, all abilities, and absolute beginners. Each session runs 75 minutes. The first 30 minutes are skills work - passing, setting, serving, and learning to move to the ball. The last 45 minutes are 4v4 games, because kids learn faster when they're playing than when they are standing in a line waiting for a turn. Kids are grouped by age, so a six-year-old is never stranded on a court full of twelve-year-olds. Coaches follow a scripted curriculum, so each week builds on the last, and every child gets real touches. Trained coaches lead sessions alongside a local parent volunteer, and every player gets a jersey on day one. Financial aid is available directly through Mini Volley. What happens when a mushroom eats a pizza box? In this hands-on science program, students discover the answer — and a whole lot more. Using a stack of pizza boxes, each representing a different stage of decomposition, young scientists explore how fungi break down the world around us and rebuild it. The focus is on observation and inquiry: students are never told what to think. Students are asked what they see, what they wonder, and what they predict. Every child leaves with a take-home mycelium sample and a seed to plant, carrying the lesson with them long after the boxes are closed. Ever wanted to be in a rock band? Now’s your chance. Prescott Rock Band gives kids the chance to experience the excitement of playing in a real band—from learning songs and rehearsing together to developing stage presence and performing in front of an audience. Students will be guided through the essentials of playing as a band, stage performance, and working together as a group by an instructor with professional performance experience ranging from Madison Square Garden to prime-time television. Whether you play an instrument or sing, you’re invited to join the band and be part of this exciting musical adventure. Prescott Rock Band will provide a variety of instruments, including: Electric Guitar, Drum Sets, and Keyboards. Students are also welcome to bring their own instrument. All instruments are welcome! No music-reading skills are required, but this program is not designed for those who are completely new to their instrument or singing.

This intensive four-day course is designed to help students reduce test anxiety and improve their test scores. Students will leave with an understanding of the types of test questions and a personalized plan to raise their SAT scores. The instructor will cover both the SAT Verbal (reading and writing) and the Math sessions. All students should bring a Chromebook, laptop, or tablet to SAT class so they can see real questions and the provided calculator in the Bluebook app. To successfully complete SAT math questions, students need at least a scientific calculator, though a graphing calculator is built into the app. The instructor will give a paper-and-pencil practice test on the first day and will allow students to use any calculator they want, including the one on their cell phone. This program invites students to celebrate the winter holidays through hands-on robotics activities. Participants design, build, and program holiday-themed robots—such as moving snowmen, festive vehicles, and other creative seasonal creations—using LEGO® and robotics tools. Throughout the program, students experiment with building and coding techniques, test their robots, and refine their designs, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Activities blend STEM learning with imaginative play, making engineering and programming concepts engaging and accessible to young learners. Collaboration and teamwork are emphasized as students share ideas, work together on projects, and help each other bring their festive robots to life. By blending hands-on robotics with holiday-themed fun, the Winter Holiday Robotics Workshop provides an interactive and educational experience that sparks curiosity, confidence, and a love for STEM learning. Children will practice sharing, taking turns, and building friendships through games, imaginative play, and simple learning activities. Every scientist starts with curiosity — and mushrooms are full of surprises! In this hands-on workshop, kids become fungi detectives, using their eyes, hands, and noses to explore real mushrooms up close. We'll talk about how mushrooms grow, where they like to live, and what makes them so different from plants. Each little scientist will start their own mushroom sample to take home and watch grow over the coming days. Simple questions, real observation, and plenty of squishy, sniffy fun — this is where the scientific method begins. We will meet at the Prescott Community Center and then explore the fields on the back lawn or nearby for mushrooms, if the weather permits. Caregivers are encouraged to join the young kids for the experience and fun.
