Gifts of the Glacier: The History of Groton's Nature

Bob Pine, a landscape architect and environmental consultant, will fascinate you with how glaciers shaped Groton’s remarkable landscape and abundant biodiversity, how that has affected human history in the area, and how Groton has protected and managed its amazing landscape. You will learn about geologic features left by the glaciers that you can see as you hike and bike around Groton. You will also learn about the work of the state, the community, non-profits, and individuals to preserve it.

The program includes three classroom discussions and one small hike.

All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.
