Dungeons & Dragons Adventures! - Grades 5-12Summer Fun ProgramsGather your party of heroes and prepare for a summer of fun and adventure! This summer enrichment course is centered on Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), the world’s most popular tabletop role-playing game and a member of the National Toy Hall of Fame. D&D is a collaborative storytelling game set in a fantasy world where players face challenging puzzles, mysteries, and dangerous monsters - all while creating an original, unfolding heroic tale! This program uses D&D as an educational tool to develop critical thinking, creative writing, teamwork, leadership, mathematical skills, and social-emotional learning in a structured, inclusive classroom environment. This is a slow paced class, and great for those new to yoga, or those who want a gentle yet intentional class. Please bring a yoga mat to class. What participants are saying about yoga with Emma: "Emma is a great yoga instructor. She changes up the class to fit our needs but is always pushing us to be better." "Good structure and knowledgeable instructor." "The level of “effort” was perfect for me at this point in my life. I have not been active and this class, along with some other at home exercises, has helped to ease me towards my goal of becoming more active while also focusing on correct form and deliberate movements that address my body’s needs during the aging process." "Emma is a very intuitive teacher, who always keeps the class upbeat." "The wonderful instructor, Emma! Her gentleness and patience really helped me get back into yoga after many years." "The in person assistance with the postures and exercises. The ability of the instructor to observe the movements and poses and provide hands on correction of the positions as needed. I also appreciated the combination of exercises with use of bolsters as needed for stretching and supporting certain parts of the body. Relaxing into these positions using body weight gently is important."Prescott CC - 2026 PROGRAM CATALOG -
Geopolitical Roundtable: A Closer Look at Significant Issues and Events in Geopolitics TodayCurrent EventsMG (Ret) Bruce Zukauskas will lead and facilitate a roundtable discussion on significant geopolitical issues and events occurring in today's complex world. The objective is to provide a forum for a better understanding of world events and also provide a means to discuss and learn about different viewpoints on world affairs. General Zukauskas will select his “Top 3 Issues or Events of the Day” prior to each session in order to help stimulate the discussion. For example, the “Top 3 Issues” for a session might be: the West’s continued support for the War in Ukraine, Israel and Hamas, or Iran’s next move in the Middle East. He will begin each session with a short background presentation for a better understanding of the topics. A roundtable discussion, facilitated by General Zukauskas, will follow for questions, comments, and discussion on the selected topics or other noteworthy geopolitical topics of interest by the group. **All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.** Here is what they are saying about Bruce's Geopolitical Roundtable: "The up to date details of the current world situation with time to comment and wonder!" "It’s very satisfying with well organized information and great discussion. Thanks to Bruce for offering this program throughout the year. Looking forward to the next session." "Kathy and I might be called "groupies" of this class. It is very topical, carefully researched, prepared and presented. Bruce always strongly encourages group input and discussion. We always look forward to this session and it is clear from the number of "regulars" that his work is appreciated in these troubling times." "Bruce is amazing. Every class is so well prepared. The tidbits he adds - the quotes from philosophers, even the good news section that he added on request of a class member. Bravo!" "I love the clear, thoughtful analysis and the the terrific graphics. I love a good graphic! I always come away knowing more about the world and the latest news. And despite the frequent bad news, knowledge keeps us strong and gives us hope. The format is perfect." "I have attended a number of the General's Roundtables and have always come away with a 360 degree, 30,000 ft view of world affairs. I have never felt a political bias or intent to convince in his presentations. Just a clear outlining of the facts that he has collected and his unique perspective as a retired general. I also enjoy the conversations that it stirs in the participants. Highly recommend this series!" "A diverse array of relevant topics is addressed, with Organizer presenting thought-provoking content." "He is always prepared, well informed, invites comments and questions." "Bruce is extremely prepared and a great presenter. There were many diverse political opinions in the class, but Bruce navigated the discussion perfectly without engaging in partisan politics. He presented the material with a historical perspective as it related to Russia which was something you don't hear on the news." "It's a great class. Everyone is friendly and the format is great for an open discussion while being a curated experience."Prescott CC - 2026 PROGRAM CATALOG -
