Introductory Workshop: Core Strength and ConditioningWorkshopsCurious about Core & Strength Conditioning? Come experience this special one-time introductory workshop and see what the class is all about. Whether you’re considering joining in the Fall or continuing through the rest of the Summer Session, this is a great chance to give it a try. We also welcome those who are currently taking or have previously taken the program to join us. This class is for those who want to build strength, especially in their core, glutes, and shoulders. After age 35, we start losing muscle mass which can lead to a host of problems, but the good news is, if you are intentional with your exercise routine, you can build new muscle at any age! In this class, we will use progressive overload (repeating movements with multiple sets) to fatigue our muscles and thus build strength. All exercises are designed to be safe and effective. All abilities are welcome, no previous experience is required. Variations and modifications will always be given to work within your limits while still challenging yourself. Building a strong body helps to prevent injury, lose fat, and create a lifestyle where movement is accessible as we age. **You are required to bring a yoga mat and water.** Here is what they are saying about Emma's Core Strength & Conditioning Class: "Emma is very motivating, always positive!" "Focuses on core, but also works to strengthen the entire body, because it's all connected. I like that the class is designed to become progressively more challenging week by week and, because the majority of the class has been taking the class for several sessions, session by session. Emma always shows modifications for people of all levels. She is a very good teacher." "The exercises (challenging!); the instructor’s enthusiasm & encouragement!" "The class was challenging and fun! I feel stronger since starting. Emma is a wonderful teacher."Prescott CC - 2026 PROGRAM CATALOG -

"Emma is a very intuitive teacher, who always keeps the class upbeat." "The wonderful instructor, Emma! Her gentleness and patience really helped me get back into yoga after many years." "The in person assistance with the postures and exercises. The ability of the instructor to observe the movements and poses and provide hands on correction of the positions as needed. I also appreciated the combination of exercises with use of bolsters as needed for stretching and supporting certain parts of the body. Relaxing into these positions using body weight gently is important."Prescott CC - 2026 PROGRAM CATALOG -
